Cindy has followed her heart on the path of love. As she traveled, she conjured up a unique brew of Gypsy/Cowgirl/Americana/Folk Rock: a mix of evocative melodies, passionate vocals, and distinctive guitar playing.
Self-taught on the guitar, she later studied classical guitar with Jesús Silva, a student of Andrés Segovia, and attended masterclasses with the maestro himself. She taught music majors at UNC Chapel Hill for several years and at a different point, was an Artist in Residence for the South Carolina Arts Commission. Her true calling, however, has always been songwriting. Cindy has written countless songs and recorded eleven albums.
A longtime follower of Avatar Meher Baba, Cindy’s spiritual connection has profoundly shaped her music. Many of her songs are commercially viable yet they resonate with anyone on a journey of love and hope. Some are beloved standards among Baba’s worldwide devotees.
Cindy has performed on four continents, visited over fifty countries, and called many places home. Now, she divides her time between Meherabad, India, and Myrtle Beach, SC, where she’s beginning a new adventure: writing a book. Although she no longer records or performs regularly, her timeless songs remain a treasure trove, inviting others to continue to sing, perform, and record her work.
